HOPE GARDENS
INSTRUCTOR: PAULETTE SINGLEY - ARCH 301 - FALL 2020
Hope Gardens is an apartment complex that hopes to address the housing shortage by increasing the overall number of units. It was designed focusing on the exploration of the 2-dimensional qualities of a wallpaper, by pushing it to its fullest three-dimensional and positional design capability. The final apartment complex was a combination of three previous assignments. The project initially began with the exploration of a beehive and its honeycomb components. The wallpaper is derived from the ADU assignment. Both of these explorations led to a merging of projects and altogether became the apartment complex.
